Camp Cairn O'Mount is looking forward to another fun, educational, and safe camp season. We will once again be offering both Traditional Riding Camp and Eventing Camp.

The camp program will be fully instructional, featuring lessons in dressage, jumping, and cross-country, as well as stable management and ground lessons. The program will include riding lessons with Susie and other qualified Cairn O'Mount Staff, as well as barn lessons, games, arts & crafts, swimming, and more. A fun horse show will be held at the end of each week  (Friday). Family and friends are encouraged to attend.

Campers should bring a lunch, long pants (for riding, shorts can be worn during the non-riding parts of the day), and wear shoes with a heel. Other helpful things to bring include a helmet, paddock boots, and half chaps.

For riders who are already competing and are looking for a focused eventing experience, you might inquire about Eventing Camp. There are four, single week sessions beginning June 18, intended to focus on the serious rider.

Traditional Riding Camp:

Traditional camp runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a minimum of one mounted lessons per day taught by Cairn O'Mount staff, a stable lesson, games, crafts, and swimming. Campers should bring a snack and lunch. Traditional riding camp welcomes ages 7-12.

Cost of camp (per week) is $400 if received by March 15; $425 after March 15.

Camp runs from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. Traditional Camp weeks will begin on the following dates:

Eventing Camp:

Specifically designed for older and more advanced riders, with a focus on eventing and competition. Students must qualify in age and riding experience to enroll. Eventing camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes one or two mounted lessons per day as well as stable lessons and guest speakers. This program is designed for the serious rider. Susie Beale is the primary instructor for the mounted lessons as well as the stable lessons, and includes an additional hour (beyond traditional camp) in order to accommodate the additional lessons and program information. Campers should bring a snack and lunch- a good breakfast is also recommended!

Cost of camp (per week) is $550 if received by March 15, $575 after March 15.

Eventing camp runs from 9:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. and welcomes ages 11-17. Eventing camp weeks will begin on the following dates:

June 25
July 23
July 30
